你是否很容易混淆transit及transition兩個生字？

你可以用下面助記片語，幫助自己熟悉這兩個類似英文字不同用法

步驟一：用日常生活用語熟悉transit用法

台北及新北市居民，在每日通勤上下班，一定很熟悉MRT（捷運）這個縮寫字

MRT全名是mass rapid transit

所以transit是用在與交通工具有關的片語

例如：

① road transit 公路運輸

② rail transit  鐵路運輸

③ in transit 在運輸中

步驟二：問自己「過境貿易」，「轉機候機室」，「過境簽證」是否與transit有關？

④ transit  trade 過境（轉口）貿易

transition = trans改變+position職位，位置→n.轉變；過渡

例如：

⑦ the transition to bi-party democracy 轉變（過渡）到兩黨的民主政治

⑧ in transition （公司營運方向）正在變革；（執政黨）交接中

⑨ peaceful transition（權力、職位）和平的交接

⑩ help with the transition 幫忙（職務）交接
